The Third Week

On February 5th, 2018, the grade seven Sampagita and Ilang-ilang were preparing their poems performances for the following day. One of my friends, Uswa, were there to give help, suggestion and tips to the students for their upcoming performances. They preparing supporting properties, costumes, and of course the strategies and ways to deliver their poems.
The following day, there performed their poems and also getting credits for their work in Psychomotor aspect.

I taught the students of grade seven Sampagita and Ilang-ilang on February 6th, 2018. The classes were discussing about a poem entitled Ballad of A Mother's Heart written by Jose La Villa Tierra. I demonstrated the poetry in the class and we had a group discussion to analyze the message and relate it to ourselves as a child.

On February 7th, 2018, I taught the grade nine Falcon. The class's discussion was about the speeches and how to use context clues in reading. The class was not only discussing the literature and the language itself, but also historical event, with one of the famous spokesperson and activist of American Civil Right Movement (1954-1968), Dr. Mathin Luther King. The students were asked to identify the unfamiliar words in his famous speech entitled I Have a Dream.

The strategy that I implemented was by using group interview and quiz.

To be a teacher is both an honor and responsibility. I have to make sure that every single piece of advise should not be an empty talk. I have to make sure that I am as their teacher also holding on to the things I say, so that I would not only be a motivator but also a good role model to my students.
